Guest Blogger: Stephanie Fisher Photography

We were so thrilled to have Stephanie Fisher Photography with us this month as one of our guest bloggers.  Here’s a bit about her in her own words.

Hello!  My name is Stephanie Fisher and I am in my seventh year of business with Stephanie Fisher Photography.  I am the proud mom of an eight-year-old little girl who has been a huge source of inspiration for me over the years.  I used to shoot entirely on location until opening my cottage studio near Birmingham, Alabama in January 2009.  At my studio I shoot with both natural lighting and studio lighting as needed.  My main focus is birth, newborn and baby photography but I do photograph families from time to time as well!  (Especially this time of year as we go into fall/holiday season!)

What inspires me to pick up my camera and start shooting? For myself…  well, to be honest… I have been so bad about this lately.  Having the iPhone handy at all times it instantly becomes my everyday camera and I rarely get my “big” camera out for myself and it mainly lives at the studio for sessions.  Bringing it home for this project really lit a spark in me and made me realize how much I miss getting these everyday images- playing with lighting and angles to capture our everyday little world.  So a big THANK YOU for doing this… I was so happy to get those images I captured tonight for the project and will cherish them always.  For my clients… I can randomly see a twinge of light peeking through trees or a field and think “oh this light would be PERFECT…” and can immediately envision the portraits.
