Tell us a little about yourself
Hi, I am Janine, I am 33, married and mother of a 2 year old little girl. My passion for photography started when I picked up my dad’s old SLR camera when I was 18 years old. Photography was always my hobby. I have done courses to have a better understanding about cameras. I have been always shooting little details and tried to tell a story with my photos. In early 2013 I starting assisting a wedding photographer, our wedding photographer. I mentioned to him my passion for photography and he offered me to work for him. A few months later I realized I really wanted to go the next step. I started my own business and never looked back. It has been a great ride, lots of tears and headaches in the beginning, but I always kept believing in my dream. After 2 years of shooting clients I finally felt I found my space in the photography world. I found my style. Early this year I rebranded to White Salt Photography. It has been such a great journey and I am so thankful for all the support and love that comes my way.
What inspires you to pick up your camera and start shooting.
I get inspired by lots of things. My child. Facial expressions… joy.
Light, I love watching the light changing. Sometimes you see a moment where you just have to pick up the camera and shoot. It’s like a addiction. I love to capture little stories of peoples life. The love between mum and child. I feel very honored I can create those memories for so many lovely families.
